Vasiliki Krikona MBACP
Integrative Counsellor
Sometimes it’s not a single event that brings us to therapy, but a quiet sense that something isn’t sitting right. I’m Vasiliki, an integrative counsellor offering in-person sessions in Shoreditch and online across the UK and worldwide.
After over a decade in creative and corporate settings, I retrained as a counsellor, completing a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. This transition deepened my understanding of how professional, relational and personal pressures often overlap. Having lived across different countries and cultures, I’m attuned to the experience of navigating identity, belonging and transition.
Alongside my private practice, I volunteer as a counsellor supporting people affected by addiction. This work has deepened my understanding of how self-esteem, relationships and emotional wellbeing are interconnected, and how important compassion, patience and self-awareness are in creating lasting change.
I continue to engage in ongoing professional development (CPD), including training in trauma-informed practice, addiction, mindfulness in therapy, and diversity and inclusion.
The way I work
My approach is integrative and centred around you: blending psychodynamic, person-centred, existential and solution-focused approaches in a way that supports your unique story and needs. Some sessions are reflective, creating space to pause and notice what arises; others are more active and exploratory, introducing new perspectives and practical tools for change.
Clients often come to me feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about who they are or what they want from life. Others might seek support with low self-esteem, identity and cultural adjustment, creative burnout, or challenges in relationships and belonging. Together we can explore what lies beneath these experiences, working towards clarity, self-acceptance and more authentic ways of living.
My counselling practice is inclusive and compassionate, welcoming people of all backgrounds and identities. I work in an anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirmative way, offering a safe, respectful space for exploration and growth.
In our sessions
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly. I encourage clients to commit to at least six sessions initially, allowing time to build trust and begin noticing meaningful change.
Our work can be focused or open-ended, sometimes about understanding the past, sometimes about finding new ways to respond to the present. Whatever brings you here, this is a space to explore freely, without pressure or judgment.
I offer sessions on Saturdays and also practice in Greek.
Fees and intro call
I offer a free 15-minute introductory call so we can meet, discuss what brings you to therapy and see whether working together feels like a good fit.
